The growing Age of Chhattisgarhi Cinema

Chhattisgarh was one of those new states formed in 2000. With the emergence of a new state was the birth of Chhattisgarhi cinema. Like every beginning requires an inspiration. Chhattisgarhi cinema has been equally influenced by neighboring states like Odisha and Bihar. A filmmaking that involves the safe zone of money making. A movie making that is for a larger public who are well acquainted with the language. Movie for the masses, for the Chhattisgarhi language lover, for the people who would enjoy a taste of cinema in their mother-tongue.

21 years to the adulthood of this creativity in Chhattisgarh, proclaims the right time to start Chhattisgarhi cinema with a purpose and a taste of filmmaking. The creativity needs a larger feather to fly high in the sky and beyond.  Chhattisgarhi cinema is meant to be accentuated with organizations that support and promote regional filmmaking in the state. A brighter and clearer filmmaking serves a greater purpose. Movie making not just for the masses but for the classes for the Chhatisgarhi audiences and the non-Chhatisgarhi  audience.
